Indeed folks, after nine years of its continuous development and hacking it has finally been released for the entire Touhou community to enjoy!!
Now, I'm making this guide in hope of providing all of the source material you will need to get this set up, in other words, the tutorials are on in the web links I provide here. Please, ask me for help if you run into any sort of problems with the links, or your setup process. I will do what I can to help but everything should be covered.
Here is the official trailer for the Touhou PC-98 English Patches. This includes a download link in the video description:

First of all, you have three emulators to choose from here:
1) Neko Project II fmgen
Recommended for absolutely everyone who has an average computer, it's the best emulator choice overall. Runs very well on modern Window PCs. It can be set up for Macintosh and Linux users as well.
Little to no input lag, very fantastic sound and music quality, very good customizable options. It might have a confusing interface at first, it's worth setting up and getting used to, it will give you the best experience playing Touhou PC-98.
It can also load up the font files from the other emulators should you want to change that.

Edit: Touhou 4 Lotus Land Story can lag on this emulator. It's noticeable when bullets are present on screen. Use the patch files in forum link and set your in-game option to "Turbo Mode" for a fix.
Also, in configure, setting the CPU to 2.4576MHz x 24 is another big fix if you're lagging still after patching, this can help with Mystic Square's Extra Stage lag too somewhat.
This pretty much assures a lag-free game in most instances, but if that doesn't work in the end, use the third option here in this guide. Use 2.4576MHz x 32 for every other game outside Lotus Land Story and Mystic Square should you have lag with those two games.

2) T98-Next
A very powerful emulator that requires good specs on a computer to run games smoothly. It's got effective customizing options behind it, but it has issues running Touhou 3 Phantasmagoria of Dimensional Dream at times, it's a gamble if it will work or not.
It's got a really nice looking built-in font; however, it comes with a few issues with certain characters. But it works rather well overall and a great choice for those with a strong Windows PC.

3) Anex86
The most popular, but least effective emulator of the bunch. It's good for older and weaker PCs at best, but this is purely an alternative if you are getting lots of lag with the other emulators. I do not recommend this one at all otherwise. Note that it's good for other PC-98 games but not so much for Touhou.
It suffers from not-so-good sound and music quality, input-lag, flashy and/or choppy graphics, and less then helpful work around options.

NaNoWriMo 2019: Read a Book.
Here's the last bit of advice before I go off to start my novel, and it's the least brought up out there.
Read a really good book.
It will make you fall in love with literature, with storytelling, and will give you morale and inspiration to write your manuscript. Simple advice, but it goes a long way. So go on, have a good story, so you can make a good story.
I'll try to do NaNoWriMo streams whenever I can. I'll be on YouTube and Twitch, so keep an eye out.
NaNoWriMo 2019: Falling in Love with Your Story
Most of y'all have an idea of what genre of novel you're writing next month. Some are writing a dystopian scifi. Others are writing fanfiction. While others are writing a porn parody*. Well, I have some shock news for every one of you who are doing NaNoWriMo:
You're writing a romantic comedy.
It's a tale about a writing hobbyist who gets thrust into a relationship with a story they barely know about, and over the course of about a month (Or a little more if they're prepping) tries to cope with suddenly being married to this project. What wacky hijinks will ensue?
It's quite difficult to write a novel when you're not in love with it. You ha
Welcome to the New Youtu-- I mean NaNoWriMo 2019!
It's that time of year again, time for me (and some other Walfasers) to throw together a novel in a single month (Starting next month!).
I hopped on the website the other day, and hoo is it bad. The website takes several seconds to load, it's hard to submit information, and they deleted your buddies list. Now we have to re-add each other on the NaNoWriMo website if we want to keep tabs on each other. Hopefully, this won't slow us down in making a novel by the end of November. So roll call! Who's doing NaNoWriMo this year?
I'll try to keep y'all updated on both novel progress and how to get through the website as I find it more. I'll be a lo
NaNoWriMo 2018: Back into the Hype
It's that time of year again. While everyone else is getting spoopy, the real writers stay up at real writer hours to prep for National Novel Writing Month. And a few of us in the Wagon are prepared to write themselves a 50,000-word story through the month of November. So get hype!
So here are the NaNoWriMo porjects for 2018 so far in the Wagon:
(Untitled) by Gii828 (https://www.deviantart.com/gii828) - a Viking period piece about an assassination of a rogue jarl gone awry when one Viking betrays another, and now he must clear his name and get revenge.
