Continuing from the previous blog post (fav.me/d5z22ol)
, we've gotten complaints that people have been uploading non-DNA things to the DNA Gallery.
Normally, our galleries have a two-vote safety feature, but DNA Gallery and Fanfiction are free to upload in because you can post DNA anywhere and we aim to improve the quality of bad fanfics. However, you do not get a free ride uploading the wrong thing to the wrong folder.
We tried telling people to be careful in what folder they select when uploading, and we mentioned what goes in the DNA Gallery, and neither have worked. We don't want to cut off the DNA Gallery to a voting system, because we already have a DNA Dump people can submit to, but it has no preview feature, and the DNA Gallery allows us to see people's DNA before we use them.
So, to ensure people don't keep abusing the free submission galleries, here's a new policy:First Offense
: If you submit a non-DNA thing to the DNA Gallery, you will get a warning and most likely see this blog post. If you're aware of this accident and quickly ask for help, we'll let you off the hook. If it keeps happening, we'll let you know how to submit your thing to the right folder. If it keeps happening after that, we know you're just wanting a free ride.Second Offense
: If you submit a non-DNA thing to the DNA Gallery again
, you will get a much sterner warning, and we will ask you to read the submission guide. fav.me/d5fzqapThird Offense
: If you submit yet another non-DNA thing to the DNA Gallery, you will get a Shiki Eiki lecturing, and you will probably have to answer a quiz regarding our submission guidelines.Fourth Offense
: If you seriously haven't taken the hint yet, you will be blocked from the Station Wagon for a month due to vandalizing the galleries.Fifth Offense
: If you've come back and still
refuse to submit your things to the proper folder, you will get one last warning.Sixth Offense
: You will be blocked for much, much longer. When you will be unblocked, I'm not sure, but if you're that stubborn, I think it's best for you to see a psychologist or a counselor.
I hope this helps clear things up. Remember to pay attention where you submit your stuff, and you'll avoid things like this in the future.
